Rock Junction on 151 Rideau Street

One of the most helpful shops I've been to the son of the owner is a super cool guy who has helped me put together my glass piece bit by bit because I couldn't afford it all at once. Now I have one of the best pieces I've ever owned and he's known me for about 15 years and gave me an awesome deal as well. If you're in Ottawa and you love little knick-knacks check out this store it's awesome the people are great super friendly and trust me you're going to find something in there that you're going to like.

Rock Junction on 151 Rideau Street

I have been going there since the 80s. Great selection, somewhat overpriced but then again, if you buy online, you pay more because of shipping cost. Another down side is you don’t see the product first hand. People complaining about the "smell", "sketchy people" are ridiculous. Considering the products this store sells, I would expect nothing more. As far as product quality, I have never seen a bad shirt or anything other bad product for that matter. Customer service has always been good in my experience, even if the random occasion where you see an employee in a “bad” mood. Such is life, we all have bad days and encounters such as this can be said for any mall boutique on any given day. Get thicker skin. Love that place. The smell, the people, employees, the location is what makes this place awesome. It’s a Metal/punk/stoner shop…if you can’t handle the smell, sketchy people and the rest then then you’re in the wrong scene. Go shop and Hot Topic where all the phonies go.

Selling a bandana with swastikas on it is pretty problematic. When called out on it, the staff didn't care. Cool bro, here's one star.

Probably the worst experience I've ever had in a store. If i could rate it a 0, I would. I was there with my friend and she was trying to return something to the cashier who was not allowing her to. Her and the cashier were not being aggressive, they were both fine with each other and trying to come to an arrangement. Out of no where, this man in the corner started yelling at her to "shut up". She asked him to stop yelling at her and he stood up, came about an inch from her face acting like he was going to hit her. The shop owner asked us to leave and the other man continued threatening and yelling at my friend. I can't help but wonder if this would have happened had we been older or had we been male. Disgusting service.
