Wild Side Smoke Shop on 1111 13th St

Please be weary of Wild Side Smoke Shop here on the hill near CU’s campus. I bought a $100 piece from this place at 2:53 pm 07/25/20. During that same sale, I also knowingly purchased an overpriced $50 protective case so that my new “super durable glass” beaker would be extra safe. The salesman Jeff even raved to me about how purportedly durable it was rated. In reality, just a few hours later when I pulled it out to use it, I realized that he wasn’t truthful; it was already broken. The frustrating part about this whole situation is that when I returned at 7:15 (just a few hours later) I didn’t even ask to do a return, I simply asked if they would do an exchange. They denied both requests, claiming that since I left the store with the piece and then returned, there’s no way of them knowing if the piece broke in my possession or not. Note, however, that during the purchase, the salesman Jeff, who bagged my beaker, could have very well broken it when he was handling it, trying to find a case that it would fit in. And that’s besides the point which is that Jeff and all the other employees did not sympathize with me and did not make the experience in their shop even remotely as enjoyable as some of the other shops around town. In all, I highly recommended going somewhere else.

Awese staff. Jeff and Jax were super knowledgeable, nice, and welcoming. As soon as I asked a question, they greeted it with an excited and spontaneous response. They even spotted me a couple dollars when I came up short. 6/5 stars
