I use to shop this location all of the time because of the convenience. NEVER AGAIN!! I purchased a grinder, got it home to use about an hour later and it didn’t work. I spent $35 on the product. I called the store to let them know that the grinder did not work and that I didn’t want my money back I just wanted to exchange for one that worked. The employee and manger were very rude. They told me that more than likely I broke it and that they cannot exchange the product. As I’m trying to explain to them what happened the manager continued to over talk me and still said that he would not exchange the product. Bad business. Especially being that I’m a manager in retail you should do what you need to make your customers happy and keep them coming back. I called the Carytown location and the manager Sam was very helpful and told me that he would gladly exchange the product for me. Not all locations are bad. I use to like this one but they will no longer get my business. I will travel all the way to Carytown and VCU area to give them my business from now on.

This store was my one and only store to get al Capones. But now I think the entire staff is a piece of hippo s#*t. I called to asked if they had al Capone cigars. I wanted to make sure I had the correct amount of cash so I would be PREPARED. I asked how much was it and the guy said, and I quote "I'm not telling you the price, its against Tabacco store policy". I called other Tobacco Company store and what do you know, they told me the price. Therefore, this location tactic is to say they cant say prices on the phone because 1. Their prices are highly overpriced, and 2. They want you to come in to see the price just so ones brain would purchase due to the fact that he/she is now standing in the store. I would never come to this location again. The workers dont care about you as a customer at all. They are not treating this job like a 1st world country job. This is not a 3rd world country, we as customers demand respect just as much as you would like respect. At this moment, the workers at this store is on a "B.U.F.U" policy; Buy Us, Fuvk U.

Pretty nice place, actually. As someone trying to quit/reduce how much I smoked, I decided to try vaping. The guy at the counter was busy when I walked in, but after he was done, he got me a basic kit and even set it up for me since I was new. Only complaint I have is that since it's a smaller shop everything isn't clearly labelled sometimes price wise, or the price isn't visible. Went in today (The same guy as last time was there) to get a lighter but only had my card and a $50 bill. Decided to get a jar of CBD oil honey as well, but the total came up to 56ish. I found out that the honey was 49.99 after, but after thinking I might leave it he informed me he didn't have change for a 50, which is reasonable since I walked in right after they opened. (Sidenote, they opened lateish considering.) He was on the phone so I left the lighter and offered to use my card; the total still came up to 51ish. He said that it was fine though and let me go, probably more cause he didn't want to deal with me anymore. All around a nice place, but the opening time wasn't exactly correct since it says 10 am on Fridays and I showed up 15ish after and it was still closed. A nice little spot, but it's not really a browsing kinda place obviously, so know what you're looking for before you go in.

I have always liked Carytown tobacco until I just went to their Parham Rd location. I asked for a carton of my preferred brand as usual and the lady at the counter informed me they don't sell cartons there. I told her both of the other stores do. She responded that he couldn't help me so I went to the store next door at got what I needed. Goodbye Carytown Tobacco. You have lost a regular customer.

They really take your time with their customer! I have literally seen some of the employees spend up to an hour or so with one particular customer just to make sure that they got the proper Vape system that would suit them the best. I always like stopping in. Also just about every staff member I met is very educated in all areas of the store. You're never getting that I don't know answer that everyone hates. Great vibe from this store! Cant remember of the man who helped me, very patient and interactive. Brought many things to me to see if the shelf without me feeling like I'm annoying him, he was eager to show me products. After picking some things out, he gave me a really nice discount and threw in a leash and clip for me. Really awesome guys. Absolutely made my day. Will support for life.

They shouldn't say theyre open till 10 if they're closed at 9. I was literally waved away, if I owned this business that employee would be terminated and I'd be beyond irate. I wont be returning to this location. Would've taken literally two minutes to sell me what I wanted.
