My wife is a major Louise Penny fan with orders placed for the next instalment on her favourite detective, Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, as soon as word of its imminent publication is heard. In addition, she drinks Mélange Gamache/Gamache blend coffee from Brûlerie Virgin Hill Coffee. So when we heard that Brome Lake Books / Livres Lac Brome was marketing Three Pines (COVID) Masks we had to order some for ourselves and friends. The seamstress did a brilliant job. They are probably the best designed masks that we have seen with beads on the ear elastics to adjust the fit.

This is a large bookstore for a small town, but has become the go-to place for all things Louise Penny, a renowned local mystery writer: there's even a corner of the store dedicated to her novels. Artfully decorated, bright and inviting, with a wide selection of books in a variety of genres. Recommended.
