This is a treasure-house of sorts, if you are interested in movies and music, and do not mind acquiring previously used discs at a reduced cost for your personal collection. I have been buying from them for several years, and have never had any complaints about the condition of the discs. The friendly and knowledgeable staff members are most helpful.

I would give this store 0 stars for the treatment I just received. Guy behind the counter (I really wish I got his name for the sake of this review) was rude and made me feel like a piece of trash...all because I sold cd's to him, opted for cash rather than store credit, and didn't buy anything. I have purchased many albums at this store, and he gives me a hard time for not buying anything? He was smug, arrogant, and incredibly rude. I am a small business owner and support many local businesses in the area. I have never treated any customer the way I have been treated. My suggestion to you is that if you don't want to take on more inventory than you are selling, tell people you are not buying cd's or vinyl. It's just that simple. Don't guilt people into buying something, and don't take your frustrations out on your customers. I used to refer people to this store, and never will gain. For all of you that like this store, it must be the day this guy isn't there.

Soundgarden in Fells Point pays out much better (very fair) for buying your used vinyl. Don’t waste your time at Record and Tape Traders, pennies on the dollar. Joke. In addition the air and attitude of shaggy is not appreciated.

Great place! They have movies, records, toys. It’s like FYI but so much better. The staff is so friendly and helpful! Everyone loves the shop and the music!
